The last thing you want to do when using the turbo or rollers over winter is to wear out your tyres so the best thing to do is to get a home trainer specific tyre.
This tyre is designed with a special cold running compound that is designed to cope with heat build up from rollers and turbo trainers. The casing will not suffer tread separation like normal road tyres and deals with added stresses of accelerating and braking on revolving drums.
Trainer specific tyres are also smoother running so noise and vibration will be less than with a normal tyre.
